We welcome people to a relationship with Jesus, equip them with a faith that works well in real life, and send them into the world to serve others.
Our Mission (How we are going to get there):
Worship – Connect – Serve
God’s greatest gift to us is life. We can choose to invest our lives in all kinds of things, some good and some bad. At Prince of Peace, we believe that Jesus gave us a blueprint for investing our lives in ways that will honor God and make the world a different place. Jesus model this three-dimensional life for us:
Worship (Up) – This is our relationship with God developed by participating in worship services, prayer, experiencing the Scriptures and learning how to listen for God’s voice and leading in our lives.
Connect (In) – This is our relationship with family and close friends. These are the people who love us for who we are, not what we do. From those close to us, we learn unconditional love, forgiveness, grace and mercy. This is where we discover the grace and strength to go “out” and make the world a different place.
Serve (Out) – God calls us beyond the boundaries of class and clan and challenges us to be open and sensitive to the Spirit’s leading in the everyday routines of our lives. Small acts of courtesy and kindness can make a huge impact in other people’s lives. This is not just about being “nice” people. It’s about allowing God’s grace to flow through us to the world. God is calling us to serve mightily!
Our Core Identity – Lutheran Christians
We are a “Lutheran Christian” church. “Christian” is the noun. First and foremost, we follow Jesus Christ. “Lutheran” is the adjective and describes the way in which we seek to follow Jesus. We are a church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. For us, this faith comes through the good news of Jesus Christ and gives us the freedom and the courage to wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God is up to in the world.
Our Vision (Where we are going):
Deliver Hope to Our Community
