Be the hands and feet of Jesus. Here at Prince of Peace, service comes in many different forms, join in sharing the love of Christ by serving our neighbors near and far! Service opportunities range from helping replenish the POP Food Pantry, to feeding the homeless, to donating items to local non-profits and churches in need, and even as simple as linking your grocery store card for Grocery Store Rebates, where a percentage of your purchase goes to POP to help us continue these projects!

SERVICE MINISTRY

There are many ways Prince of Peace shares the love of Christ through service in the community and around the world. From mission trips to the Navajo Lutheran Mission to supporting Mount of Olives church with donations for their food pantry, Prince of Peace takes seriously the mission given to us by Jesus...love one another.

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
— John 13:34-35

ANGEL TREE

You're invited to adopt one of the angels on Prince of Peace's annual Angel Tree. Every December, there is a tree in the narthex with ornaments designating an angel in need of a gift(s) for Christmas. If you do not have time to shop for a gift but would still like to participate, we have volunteers who will do the shopping for you. If you have questions, please contact Mary Quinsler.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING

Super Bowl Sunday, we focus on SOUPer Bowl and collect change in big soup pots to donate to our local shelters and nonprofits that provide food to those in need of  a meal. Collect all your change and bring it Superbowl Sunday!

COMPASSION CENTRAL

PRINCE OF PEACE'S CARE AND VISITATION MINISTRY

We all have moments in our lives when we need to know that someone cares and that we are not alone. For those who are home-bound, experiencing grief or recovering from surgery, this need can become overwhelming. For many centuries, followers of Jesus have opened their hearts to care for those who need a kind word, a listening ear and a prayer of encouragement. In fact, the church is at its best when we make compassion our calling card. We are a group of compassionate people that perform care visits on behalf of Prince of Peace on an ongoing basis. We meet once a month to make assignments, discuss challenges and encourage one another.
